Netflix dropped the trailer for its upcoming miniseries, Behind Her Eyes. The material based its entire course on Sarah Pinborough's 2017 best-selling book of the same name.
Entertainment Daily stated that people who loved Netflix's The Stranger will most likely get "hooked" on the material. The reason being is that it has a "twisty thriller" that falls in the "same vein" as the previous British drama hit series.
The series follows a single mother who begins an affair with her psychiatrist boss. Amid their romantic links, she learns about her partner's wife and becomes friends with her.
While the love triangle is already an "unfortunate entanglement," things soon take a lot of dark twists and turns. The same publication, later on, said that the "viewers will be left wondering who is really at fault" in the whole equation.
Behind Her Eyes stars Simona Brown, Tom Bateman, and Eve Hewson. They play the lead roles of three characters trapped in the said love triangle. Robert Aramayo, also, joins the main cast as Eve's character's best friend from her past.
The Tab reported that the upcoming Netflix miniseries will likely become everyone's "new obsession, adding that the people who have read the book, reportedly, already know what this means. Left Bank Pictures, who produced one of the streaming platform's hit series, The Crown, also, produced the miniseries. Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna co-write the course of the entire plot.
Speaking to an interview, the executive producer of Behind Her Eyes recently talked about why everyone is talking about the upcoming material. Jessica Burdett explained that she knew immediately that the story "would work on screen" after reading the book.
She continued that the material has "so many layers to it," alongside its psychological thriller features. It, also, reportedly, plays with genre, making it "very cinematic" and nothing like what they have done in the past.
Co-producer Suzanne Mackie echoed Burdett's statements in the same interview. She shared that she liked the characters as they all felt "contemporary and street."
The two heads, later on, discussed the notorious twist of the plot. They claimed that the fans of the book "really respect" the twist, noting that they have hopes for their own version to provide the same "water cooler moment."
Behind Her Eyes will complete its full course in six episodes, and each of which will last an hour. It will drop on February 17 on Netflix.
