Kim So Yeon may play one of the most cunning characters on TV, Cheon Seo Jin, in the hit South Korean drama series Penthouse, but she is such a softie in real-life, especially when it comes to her real husband.

The actress was recently caught on video introducing her lifelong partner, Lee Sang Woo, to her Penthouse co-stars like a lovesick puppy. Kim was all smiles and looked like a gushing girl in love when she showed off Lee to Yoon Jong Hoon (Ha Yoon-cheol) and Um Ki-joon (Joo Dan-tae), who both played her on-screen husbands in the series.

Incidentally, Kim's husband, who is also an actor, had a bit part in Penthouse and played one of the journalists. It's the reason why he was on the set because he was filming his cameo and then he decided to visit his wife after work.

Kim and Lee have been married since 2017 after a year of dating. The pair, who are both in their 40s, met on the set of Happy Home.

Meanwhile, the second season of Penthouse has started airing in the last few weeks. Just like season 1, the current episodes have been topping the ratings while the stars continue to dominate and create more buzz.

Kim, in fact, was revealed as the top star in the brand reputation rankings from the Korean Business Research Institute. The cast of Vincenzo, Song Joong Ki and Lee Da Hee, follow in the second and third position, respectively. This ranking means that Kim and her show had the highest keyword search online in the last month.

The actress is also associated with the words "powerful" and "tough" in the keyword searches because of her character in Penthouse. Fans expect that the second season will be more emotionally-charged than the first as Kim's character loses her reputation and her voice as a diva.

Kim has been praised for her take on an intimidating character like Cheon Seo Jin but the actress said in a behind-the-scenes interview that she is only as good as her co-stars. The actress acknowledged that she would not be able to deliver a powerful performance if not for her on-screen husband's equally commendable performance

Yoon, on the other hand, said that before he worked on Penthouse, other actors told him about Kim's amiable personality. After doing season 1, Yoon said that Kim is actually a lot nicer than what he was told.
