One Piece remains to be one of the most highly acclaimed manga and anime series. As the material continues to progress, fans and followers seemingly could not wait for more.

With the apparent support for the series, Funimation and Toei Animation want to give back to the fandom. Comic Book Resources reported that they are hosting a virtual watch party this month to bring all the avid viewers together.

The event, which carries the title "One Piece Wano Watch Party," will take place on April 24 at 7 PM, CT in the United States and Canada. It will, also, live-stream internationally on April 25 at 10 AM, AEST, and 12 PM, NZST.

The One Piece watch party will feature Episodes 969 and 970 on YouTube. It will be a simulcast celebration on both Funimation and Toei Animation's respective channels.

Aside from the live-stream episodes, the 75-minute event will, also, include giveaway segments for the participants and viewers. Moreover, there will be special guests, including the voice actors of the anime series.

Reports said that these include Mayumi Tanaka and Kazuya Nakai, who lend their voices for Monkey D. Luffy's and Roronoa Zoro's characters. Alongside the celebrities, Toei's Justin Rojas and RogersBase's Roger DiLuigi will join the guests as hosts for the event.

The virtual simulcast event will coincide, as well, with the premiere of One Piece Episode 971. Funimation released a statement regarding the special celebration this month. As noted, they are "excited to bring viewers worldwide" together to witness the next installments of the "Land of Wano" arc.

Comic Book, also, released a similar report, detailing the announcement from Toei Animation. On Wednesday, the animation studio took their confirmations to Twitter.

Apart from the official teaser material, the post included a brief list of what the upcoming live fan event will offer. It even encouraged netizens, especially avid viewers of One Piece, to celebrate Act 3 of "Land of Wano" arc "together like pirates."

Following the tweet, several fans and followers have seemingly shown interest and excitement toward the upcoming watch party. The post has since obtained nearly 2,000 likes and 300 retweets.

Many individuals, also, left comments to share their thoughts about the event. While some are excited to witness the episodes simultaneously, others are looking forward to seeing the special guests at the virtual party.

Reports, later on, asserted that the "Wano" arc is one of the "biggest story arcs" of the One Piece franchise. Accordingly, it makes sense why Funimation and Toei Animation want to celebrate it "in style," alongside fans from various parts of the globe.
