Prince Harry stands to inherit a portion of Prince Philip's wealth, which has apparently been sorted for some time as the Duke of Edinburgh was not the kind of person who would punish his grandchildren.

According to a royal insider, while the majority of Philip's personal wealth will go to his wife, Queen Elizabeth, their grandchildren could also inherit some of his estate, which means that Prince Harry will have some windfall based on his grandfather's will.

The source also added that despite Harry's "misbehavior," where he has been telling the world of his struggles within the royal institution on his new TV documentary, Philip was always fair and even-handed to his family members. The Duke of Edinburgh never held a grudge against Harry despite his most recent pronouncements about the sadness of living as a royal.

Upon his death in April 2021, Philip was said to be worth $43 million. Three of his loyal aides -- his private secretary, his page and his valet -- are also expected to receive part of that money. His four children -- Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward -- are also free to take whatever they want from his personal book collection with over 13,000 books at the Buckingham Palace library. The palace, however, would not want to comment on this matter and a spokesperson said it's for the royal family to discuss.

But Mace-Archer Mills, the founder of the British Monarchists Society, said that Harry is trying to get out of the shadow of his grandfather by crafting a new persona in the U.S. Mills said that Harry has often been compared to Philip because they both have the charisma, charm and humor.

However, Philip was also known for his legendary banter that used to be misunderstood by some people because he had no filter. Mills said that Harry doesn't aspire to make the same gaffes like his grandfather and be labeled as a misguided person. The Duke of Sussex apparently wants to distance himself from such similarities with the Duke of Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, Harry confessed in his mental health documentary series with Oprah Winfrey that he was afraid to come back home to London for his grandfather's funeral. He said that London for him is a trigger for his trauma, adding that he was always "tense and uptight" whenever he would fly back to his birth home. However, Prince Harry is due to return in July to be reunited with his brother, Prince William, for an event for their mother, Princess Diana.
