Princess Anne reportedly had a hunch that Meghan Markle would not last long as a royal family member. How? A royal expert revealed that Princess Royal might have predicted it after Prince Harry's wife left a meeting "dumbfounded."

Princess Anne has been mum about the controversies surrounding the Sussexes and the monarchy. Her relationship with Meghan Markle has been a question to many. So, what's the real deal between the two?

Queen Elizabeth II and the late Prince Philip's only daughter has been known for being the hardest-working royal. With how she works, she may have predicted that the former actress may not withstand the role of a working senior royal.

Neil Sean revealed, via Express, that a meeting was held between Princess Anne and the Duchess of Sussex when the latter joined the Firm. The former "Suits" star allegedly left the event "dumbfounded" after Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips' mom told her to see the royal life as a job and not as an opportunity to seek fame.

Like her dad, Princess Anne takes no nonsense and a very good source revealed she gave "very savage advice" to the then-newly-added royal family member. Dubbed as the hardest-working royal, she does a lot of engagements, doesn't seek the limelight and seriously takes her role to representing the Queen.

But just as Sean thought their recent visit with Queen Elizabeth to the Thames Hospice was wonderful, Meghan Markle reportedly left her meeting with Princess Anne surprised. Allegedly, Timothy Laurence's wife reiterated her mantra and pointed out that being a royal family member was a job, adding she had to turn up on time, do her research and do the duty.

"It's all about the project at hand," Sean added. He continued that Princess Anne pointed out that Meghan Markle didn't take a lot of her royal works to heart and didn't get too involved with the National Theatre, of which she was the patron.

So, to sum up the relationship between the two, Sean said a source revealed Meghan Markle "failed to warm" Princess Anne. With that said, the latter had always known that Prince Harry's wife would have a "very short shelf-life" in the British monarchy.

Does this mean that the two women have been at odds with each other? Ingrid Seward said, via Express, that Princess Anne chose to stay out of the issues surrounding the Sussexes, knowing it wasn't her thing to get involved. As Prince Philip's daughter, they both frequently chose to distance themselves from any issues they didn't consider their business.
