Prince William cautioned Prince Harry about his rushed relationship with Meghan Markle on multiple occasions, a new report claimed.

There is a disagreement between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, and there are allegations that their disagreement began long before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married the knot and resigned from their royal duties, as per Cosmopolitan.

According to earlier reports, Prince William cautioned his sibling that things were moving too quickly between him and the former actress when he made the decision to marry her after dating her for a period of time that was less than a year.

Recently, Jennie Bond, a royal commentator and former royal correspondent for the BBC, made an appearance on the "Royal Exclusive" podcast of The Sun. During her appearance, she stated that the heir presumptive had a point.

"William was correct to guide or warn Harry, 'Are you sure you're not going a bit fast in this relationship with Meghan?' It affronted Harry to be questioned like that, but I think it came from a good place,” Jennie stated.

The royal commentator also drew attention to the fact that, in order to make her point more clear, successful marriages within the royal family had longer courtships. Before they became engaged and married in 2011, Prince William and Princess Kate were dating for almost a decade. They were then given the titles of Earl and Countess of Wessex.

"Kate was given ten years to peer into the goldfish bowl of royal life. I think it was brilliant she saw all the restrictions and glare of publicity it brings. Because their courtship was so long, she was able to judge that she could hack it -- and William could see that too,” Jennie explained.

"If you look at the marriages which really have 'survived,' Sophie Wessex is another example. She again had a long courtship with Edward -- they more or less lived together before marriage. That is one of the most delightfully happy marriages in the royal family,” she furthered.

Within the pages of his memoir "Spare" published in 2023, Prince Harry confessed that his older brother had the opinion that he was moving "too fast" in terms of his relationship with Meghan. "In fact, he'd actually been pretty discouraging about my even dating Meg," the Duke of Sussex penned, Entertainment Tonight reported.

It is said that Prince William "bristled" when their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, gave her approval to Prince Harry's idea. According to the allegations, Prince William told Prince Harry that he had placed the Queen in an "uncomfortable position," and that she had no other option, as per NBC News.

"Willy always thought Granny had a soft spot for me, that she indulged me while holding him to an impossibly high standard. He hated the idea of me enjoying a perk he'd been denied,” Prince Harry went on, Newsweek reported.
