The public image of Justin Timberlake has suffered as a result of his arrest on June 18 for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, a new report claimed that his marriage to Jessica Biel has also suffered.

“She’s upset, as anyone can imagine,” an unnamed source, who is close to Justin’s wife of 13 years and mom to his two young kids—Silas, 11, and Phineas, 3, told Life & Style Magazine.

“She doesn’t understand why he would do something so stupid as attempt to drive himself home after a night of drinking. She’s disappointed,” the insider added.

Not for the first time, in fact. Jessica, who was 42 years old at the time, was humiliated by Justin in 2019, when he was photographed being intimate with his co-star in the film “Palmer,” Alisha Wainwright, while they were out drinking in New Orleans.

“I drank way too much that night and regret my behavior. I apologize to my amazing wife and family,” the 43-year-old conceded.

According to the criminal complaint, his most recent misstep, which consisted of his being pulled over in the posh Hamptons of New York for running a stop sign and swerving, and then "performing poorly" on a field sobriety test is allegedly embarrassing for her.

“She’s stood by him for so long. It’s one thing to sit back with friends over a drink. It’s another to consume so much alcohol that you’re DWI bait,” the informant stated.

“It’s already been tough on their marriage with Justin on tour, having to rely on FaceTime to stay connected. The fear is that more tough times are in store. And if Justin isn’t worried about losing Jessica, he should be,” it furthered.

Business Times has reached out to Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel for comments.

Meanwhile, the arrest of Justin for driving under the influence of alcohol occurred last week, according to recent tipsters, and it was a result of an anonymous tip that came from within the hotel where he was staying.

On Tuesday, June 17, at 12:17 a.m., the singer known for "Cry Me a River" was taken into custody in the affluent Hamptons neighborhood of Sag Harbor, which is located on Long Island. The American Hotel, which is located in the vicinity, is well-known for being a popular resort for celebrities during the summer months. He was said to be staying there.

According to a complaint that was received by The New York Post, the 43-year-old Grammy winner, who has won ten Grammys, stated that he had never taken more than "one martini." He broke his silence at a concert the previous week, claiming that it had been a "tough week" after his arrest became a topic of discussion all around the world.

Newer reports, however, imply that the arrest may not have been fully random or normal, and that Justin's police stop may have been the consequence of an anonymous tip-off to the authorities from someone close to him around the time that he was allegedly drinking.

“[They] said Justin was having a lot of drinks, and they told the cop to watch him if he is going to drive,” a Southampton restaurateur, who did not want to be identified, told The New York Post. However, he did not elaborate on the manner in which the purported caller was connected to Justin.

The mole is of the opinion that the pop artist was "mistreated," and he added, "[He was] definitely treated unfairly." The local businessman expressed his belief in this matter.

“Everyone drives through that stop sign when no one is there,” the snitch added, saying that the star was a “Hamptons regular” who has frequented his establishments “many times” over the years.

“He was always a gentleman. People always recognize him, and they ask him for a picture, and he always says yes. He has the hat pulled down and the sunglasses, so it’s hard to recognize him, but some people do. He’s not like Leonardo [DiCaprio]. Leo does not like to be recognize, and he will even curse. He does not take pictures, especially if he is with a bunch of models,” the restaurateur said.

Justin was too young for officer Michael Arkinson to have known who he was when he detained him, according to the source, who also cast doubt on the assertion that he did not know who the “Not A Bad Thing” singer was.

“If you live in America, you know who Justin Timberlake is. The cop did his job, but he definitely knew who Justin was,” the insider stated.

However, according The Independent, another local businessman named Mark Zucchero, who is 54 years old and serves as the proprietor of Flying Point Surf and Sport, stated that the officer was known in the community as a "diligent" police officer.

“[The cop is] definitely not a bad guy. He’s diligent, he does a good job. He just didn’t know who Justin Timberlake was! That’s all, pretty simple,” the informant shared.
