Unexpectedly slender Janet Jackson achieved this condition by engaging in a perilous diet in an attempt to shed a significant amount of weight prior to the beginning of her global tour about a month ago, a new report claimed.
The pop queen, who is 58 years old, reportedly gained 75 pounds when she was on tour the previous year. It has been reported by sources that the “Control” hitmaker was weighing 180 pounds despite her once diminutive height of 5 feet 3 inches.
In spite of this, Janet has shed an astounding forty pounds in just three months in order to get herself ready for the North American portion of the tour that will take place this year, as stunning new photographs have shown.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that this is not the first time that Janet, a yo-yo dieter, has gained and lost a large amount of weight. She had lost seventy pounds prior to the start of her tour in 2019, but by October 2022, she had gained it all back, and possibly even more.
“No one thought Janet would be able to lose so much weight again in such a short amount of time. And nobody thinks it’s safe to do so!” an unnamed source told The National Enquirer.
According to the findings of a physician who was consulted by the entertainment news outlet, yo-yo dieting, often known as the cycle of losing and gaining weight, poses a significant threat to one's health for a number of different reasons.
“Yo-yo dieting is incredibly dangerous because it causes permanent muscle and bone loss, which increases risk for diabetes, heart attacks and premature death. Every time you lose weight, you lose bone, muscle and fat, but every time you regain weight, you regain only fat. So, you get fatter with each yo-yo,” longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who hasn’t treated the “Pleasure Principle” star, warned.
The loss of muscle increases the chance of developing diabetes because it reduces the ability to burn calories, which is a significant factor in maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, as per the National Institutes of Health. In the meantime, a decrease in bone density causes an increase in the incidence of fractures as well as death at an earlier age.
The anxieties that Janet's circle has for her health are shared by a significant number of those friends.
“She’s subsisting on little else besides broccoli, water and resolve to be the thinnest she’s ever been, and this has been going on for months now,” the anonymous informant claimed. Allegedly, Janel ignored her friends who are concerned about her.
“When people worry that she’s not getting enough nourishment, she brushes them off and insists she’s fine. But everyone thinks her dieting is unhealthy and that it’s all going to catch up to her in some horrible way, maybe not tomorrow, but someday,” the tipster dished.
