Does Donald Trump appear to be revealing his true nature? During his rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, August 4, the former president, who is 78 years old, became the target of criticism from X, which was formerly known as Twitter users, for confessing that he only likes those who like him.
“Trump: ‘Bruce Springsteen. I am not a huge fan. I have a bad trait. I only like people who like me. Does that make sense?’” an X, formerly Twitter, user penned quoting part of Donald’s speech.
People responded by criticizing the Republican candidate for the 2024 election, pointing out how self-centered the comment was.
“I have a bad trait: I fit the definition of a narcissist. Is that bad?” a netizen shared. “Yeah. Narcissistic people are usually like that,” another X user stated.
“No s---. Trump doesn’t endorse conservatives based on policy — they just have to say nice things about him,” a third social media user commented. “Only one bad trait? It's more like he has a copious amount of them,” a fourth X user wrote.
It was previously revealed by OK! Magazine that Donald was recently exposed for fabricating videos in which he claimed to be waving to fans when, in reality, he was waving to no one. Following the sharing of videos of himself disembarking from his private jet to his "fans," a user on X disclosed the genuine view that Donald has when he exits his aircraft.
“The first half of this clip is Trump doing his usual ritual where he is filmed supposedly waving to an adoring crowd coming to see him off last night. The second half I zoom in to show what he’s waving at. Fake, phony, staged nonsense,” Donald’s critic wrote alongside a video of the ex-POTUS standing at the airplane door, waving to only airport employees.
In retaliation, the general public attacked Donald publicly for the videos that were fabricated.
“Like a toddler waving to any passerby,” an X user commented to the clip. “Waving at invisible crowds is the new trend. I’m going to start doing that too,” another netizen said.
“So pathetic. And weird as f---!” a third X user noted. “What an embarrassment. He might as well be waving to Melania [Trump]. She doesn't care either,” another stated.
The criticism directed at Donald Trump came at the same time that he was being contrasted to his new opponent, Kamala Harris, who is 59 years old and entered the campaign after Joe Biden withdrew from the race on July 21. At this point, the much younger Democrat has switched the focus of questions about Biden's advanced age to be about Trump's elder years.
Through the course of his campaign path, Donald has committed a number of embarrassing gaffes and gone off on weird tangents, which has led many people to speculate that he may be suffering from dementia.
