It is said that "everyone is hoping" for an intervention by one or two members of Prince Harry and Prince William's extended family since it is the only thing that has the potential to restore their broken relationship.
Despite the fact that sources have stated that the feuding princes sat stone-faced at the recent memorial service held in Sandringham for their uncle Sir Robert Fellowes and did not even glance in each other's direction, insiders have hinted that there may be a glimmer of hope for those who are hoping for royal reconciliation.
"[Prince] Harry is open to reconciling with his brother. He knows it won't be an easy task but it is something that can be brought to the table. [Prince] William is not opposed to a reconciliation with his brother at some point, but things would need to start from scratch, a fresh start type scenario, where things from the past are not to be mentioned,” an unnamed source told Express UK.
St. Mary's Church in Snettisham, which is located adjacent to the Norfolk estate that belongs to the Royal Family, was the location where the princes gathered together on Thursday to remember their late uncle.
According to an anonymous insider, they were both there at the service, but it seemed as though they did not engage with one another during the service. There appears to be only one thing that can mend their broken connection, and that is the presence of close relatives of their late mother, Princess Diana, who are members of the Spencer family.
"Everyone is hoping that there might be some kind of intervention from Jane or Charles [Spencer] which will hopefully bring them back together. It will take some time but it is looking like a possibility,” the undisclosed informant shared.
This past weekend, it was disclosed that Prince Harry elected to remain in the childhood house of his late mother, Princess Diana, on his recent journey back to Britain. This decision was made available to the public. While staying in the famous Althorp House in Northampton, the Duke of Sussex was entertained by his uncle, Charles, Earl Spencer, who was making the accommodations for him.
Reportedly, the separation between the Royal brothers became apparent around the time of Christmas in 2018. It is reported that Prince Harry's belief that his brother William was not properly welcoming Meghan into the Royal fold was the initial source of tension between the two countries.
The situation became more complicated in the year 2020 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to choose a new life in the United States of America rather than continue performing their royal duties, as per The Mirror.
A flood of tell-alls followed, first with the couple's approval of the book "Finding Freedom," followed by their shocking confessions to Oprah Winfrey on television, and finally, the scoop-stream in their documentary titled "Harry & Meghan" that was released on Netflix.
In his biography titled "Spare," Prince Harry did not hold back when it came to exposing his personal difficulties. One of the incidents that he detailed was when he claimed that Prince William had knocked him down due to an argument that was particularly heated.
It was a dispute between Meghan Markle and Princess Kate regarding bridesmaid outfits that he shed light on. According to reports, the argument resulted in tears on both sides.
Since then, the Sussexes have primarily remained in the United States, only seldom traveling back to the United Kingdom. In February of this year, Prince Harry traveled across the ocean to visit his father, who is now known as King Charles. This was before to his appearance at the Invictus Games in May.
There was a "diary clash" that prevented him from meeting up with any of his family during his most recent visit. After attending the burial of the late Queen in the United Kingdom a year ago, Meghan has not been seen in the country since then.
