On August 29, Prince Harry, 40, and Prince William, 42, attended the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes, the spouse of Lady Jane Spencer, the sister of their late mother. Norfolk was the location.

According to an attendee, the brothers sat separately and stood in close proximity while conversing with others; however, they were not observed engaging in any form of interaction with one another.

While in the United Kingdom, Prince Harry is also believed to have failed to visit his father, King Charles, 75, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. “Most people were astounded that Harry came,” an unnamed source told PEOPLE Magazine.

The most recent public appearance of Prince Harry and Prince William was at their father's coronation in 2023. “He is very close to his mother’s side of the family,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.

Prince Harry is renowned for his estrangement from his older sibling, Prince William, and his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, as well as from numerous other members of the British royal family.

Nevertheless, the fifth-in-line to the throne is still in close contact with the relatives of his late mother, Princess Diana, according to this expert.

There are three surviving siblings of Harry's mother, Diana Spencer, who was born: Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes, and Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer.

Prince Harry returned to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes, Lady Jane's spouse, who passed away on July 29. At Althorp House, the prince is purported to have "secretly" resided with his uncle Charles Spencer, which was Diana's childhood residence.

Prince Harry's decision appears to indicate that he remains in constant contact with his maternal family.
“Quietly, behind the scenes, it is obvious that the Spencer family have kept the communication channels open with Harry and that their affection for him is reciprocated,” royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine.

“I’m sure Harry feels it’s important that he still has some kind of anchor here in the UK and, for now at least, it seems that it is with his aunts and uncle. And that has to be a positive thing,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is alleged to have maintained cordial relations with his paternal cousin, Princess Beatrice.

According to a former palace staffer, Beatrice is the sole member of the royal family who may be capable of "initiating peace" in Prince Harry's ongoing dispute with his brother, Prince William.
The New York Post reported last month that Princess Beatrice has "spoken to the two brothers to try to improve the situation" as the feud between the two factions continues to rage.

Business Times has reached out to Prince Harry and Prince William for comments.
