Now that she is in her sixties, Ellen DeGeneres disclosed which cosmetic procedures she has discontinued.

“If I look older than when you saw me last, it’s because I’m older than when you saw me last,” the television personality made a lighthearted jest, as per OK! Magazine. “And also, I stopped doing Botox and filler.”

In her Netflix special, "Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval," which premiered on September 24, the 66-year-old DeGeneres addressed her appearance.

The talk show host contemplated her past cosmetic procedures, acknowledging that she underwent them "back when [she] didn't care what other people thought of" her.

“I used to say that I didn’t care what other people thought of me. I realize now, looking back, that I said that at the height of my popularity,” she persisted. DeGeneres then underscored the futility of fixating on her appearance.

She added that caring about other people's opinions of ourselves is pointless—an effort that goes to waste. Ellen said that it's hard to know what other people are thinking.

In addition, the former presenter of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" disclosed her health challenges during her comedy special.

In 2021, DeGeneres was diagnosed with "full-on osteoporosis" after undergoing what she characterized as a "stupid bone density test." The comedian compared herself to a "human sandcastle."

“I don’t even know how I’m standing up right now. … I could disintegrate in the shower,” she cracked a jest. The executive producer, who also discovered she has arthritis after experiencing "excruciating pain," acknowledged, "It's hard to be honest about aging and seem cool."

Ellen thinks she's well-adjusted since she gets fixated on things, but her short attention span causes her to forget what she was fixated on initially. Ellen believes it leads her to the point where she feels completely settled.

At the beginning of the year 2020, the comedian began treatment to confront the "hatred" that he received from his fans as a result of charges of toxic workplace behavior, Business Insider reported.

“When you’re a public figure, you’re open to everyone’s interpretation,” DeGeneres stated about the scandal. “But you know the truth, and that’s all that matters.”

A total of 36 former employees of Ellen DeGeneres's show were questioned by BuzzFeed News in the year 2020. During these interviews, multiple individuals confirmed allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment, and assault.
