The shocking charges of sex crimes store performed by London department magnate Mohamed Al-Fayed have astonished squabbling Prince William and Prince Harry while giving yet another huge embarrassment to the British monarchy, a new report claimed.

Prince William, 42, and Prince Harry, 40, were close to the late Harrods owner and his son Dodi, who was the last romantic partner of their tragically deceased mother, Princess Diana, who perished in the same Paris accident that claimed her life.

Several women have come forward to say that the Egyptian tycoon sexually assaulted them at his department store in Knightsbridge, at his other properties in Britain, and when he was on business trips overseas.

"If Diana had married Dodi, which she was seriously considering, Mohamed would have been the boys' stepgrandfather, so this cuts very close to the bone," an insider revealed to National Enquirer.

"It has stirred up a tremendous amount of sadness for them to think that their mother was in love with somebody whose father was, in reality, an absolute monster. Of course, nobody had any idea about that at the time, but it's still really horrifying," the tipster went on.

The discovery adds to the barrage of scandals and other crises that recently rocked the 1,200-year-old monarchy to its foundation.

According to the insider, the royal family is experiencing a great deal of embarrassment because Princess Diana's name has been mentioned again.

Readers of the National Enquirer are aware that Princess Diana and Dodi continued their closely watched affair for a few months before their tragic deaths in 1997. Mohamed, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 94, spent years accusing the British establishment of being responsible for the horrifying deaths in a Paris tunnel, as per Al Jazeera.

"William and Harry are both equally shocked and appalled by what Fayed is accused of doing," the informant confided.

According to sources, the saddest thing is that the brothers' split prevents them from comforting one another. Prince William has declined to talk to Prince Harry and Meghan following their allegations of racism against the royal family in a TV interview and his criticism of his kin in his memoir, "Spare," The Guardian reported.

This is something that they would have talked and helped each other through if they had been in a better position, according to the insider who made the observation. On the other hand, given the current state of affairs, they cannot support one another, which adds another layer of depression to the situation.

In a normal situation, they would have picked up the phone to talk about it, but they were unable to do so. And that is undoubtedly making this situation much more distressing for both of them, even if Prince William refuses to acknowledge it.
