A video of Taylor Swift imitating Eminem's "Lose Yourself" has gone viral, but not for the reasons the singer may have anticipated.

The 34-year-old musical star's 2011 performance, which was recently shared on Reddit's DListed Community, received a variety of responses.

Swift is depicted in the clip as she was during her country music career, sporting a vibrant green ruffled dress, crimped hair, and an acoustic guitar.

"Alright," Swift announces upon entering the stage. She then begins to recite the renowned song, adjusting it to suit the festival audience.

"If you had one shot, one opportunity, to be the loudest crowd we have seen all summer, would you take the shot? Or let it slip?" in a playful imitation of Eminem's manner, she states.

The video has elicited a torrent of comments, despite its brief duration of just over one minute, as per Variety.

"What in the high school talent show trainwreck is this??" one person wrote.

An additional commenter added: "Based on how cringeworthy, uninspired, flat, 'toddler-on-ice' her current performances are, I am shocked to realize that she actually improved lol."

"She 'raps' like a 12-year-old cheerleader - so sing-songy and cringe!" someone else composed the text.

In 2003, "Lose Yourself" was awarded the Academy Award for Best Original Song and was featured in the film "8 Mile" by Eminem.

Swift has been the subject of criticism for her public appearances on numerous occasions. The singer's decision to wear skinny trousers to a Kansas City Chiefs game earlier in November sparked controversy, The Daily Mail reported. The style, which was favored by millennials in the early 2000s, has lost popularity among Gen Z, who prefer looser, baggier trousers.

The 1989 hitmaker's generationally defining "fit" was the subject of much discussion on social media. She wore a chic Louis Vuitton cropped pullover fleece in the color red for Kelce's Chiefs and black PAIGE skinny leg denim.

Despite the fact that some Gen Zers have posted TikToks expressing their desire to be homeless or deceased rather than be photographed wearing skinny jeans, millennials are not willing to give up their preferred denim style without a fight.

The new appearance was the subject of debate among Swifties on social media.

"I can't believe taylor swift is wearing skinny jeans in 2024," one person wrote X, formerly known as Twitter. Additional individual agreed, "Taylor can we please not bring back skinny jeans? Don't put that out into the universe."

"She's wearing skinny jeans NOOOOO THIS CANT BE COMING BACK," someone else wrote. Another individual shared, "UGHHHH SHE LOOKS GOOD AS ALWAYS but that fit looks better without the skinny jeans."
