Xiaomi has been notorious for providing high-performing devices at a more than reasonable price. One of their up and coming devices, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 may be a relatively unknown though recent AnTuTu benchmark score has captured the attention of consumers.

Images of the resulting surface recently, showing how the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 scored an amazing 285, 302 points on AnTuTu benchmark from Ithome.com. Folks who may not be familiar with technical readings may marvel simply because of the numbers, but it does provide a glimpse of the power the upcoming device offers.

For one, it indicates that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 performed better than most flagship phones. Of the top 10 best-performing handsets, only the Xiaomi Black Shark and Oppo Find X had better scores, Gizmo China said. The device even edged out other devices such as the Vivo Nex and the OnePlus 6.

Also, there are now questions on whether the Pocophone F1 packs something extra. The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset although the same holds true for most flagships in its class. One possible explanation is that Xiaomi’s upcoming device features a liquid cooling system. There is also the optimization angle which may have helped the device perform better.

A lot of leaks have come out recently showing the potential mold of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, particularly the one that popped up at a Romanian retailer. Initially, it was listed to be the upcoming device although GSM Arena later clarified that it was the Xiaomi Mi 8 from an AndroidPit review. Hence, this means that no actual sighting of what the Pocophone F1 has been released.

The revelation places a big question mark on the Xiaomi Pocophone F1; a device believed to be launching soon. Among the specs that came out include seeing the device sporting a 6.18-inch full HD+ display and backed by 6 GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage although the handset offers expandable storage through microSD.

The dual-SIM device will also come with a 12 MP + 5 MP rear dual cameras and a 20 MP front-facing selfie shooter. It will rely on a 4,000 mAh battery and come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box as detailed in a previous post.

The Xiaomi Pocophone F1, which most believe will be out this August, will be priced for about $498 for the 64 GB ROM variant. The larger 128 GB option will reportedly sell for $533. The device is also believed to be hitting the European and Indian markets.
