It seems there are major changes on Resident Evil 2 Remake. In a recent report, there is a new mode coming to the iconic survival gameplay. The new mode is dubbed as "The Ghost Survivors."
The publisher of Resident Evil 2 Remake announced during its live stream that the new mode "The Ghost Survivors" will be making its way to the game at some stage after the launch. The new mode aims to add some longevity with repeatable missions and random elements. As of now, there are no details have been given nor leaked details about the upcoming mode.
According to PushSquare, a free update will surely allow players to experience the game with various randomized elements. Of course, they may choose to play with a variety of characters, such as USS member Robert Kendo and Katherine, the mayor's daughter. Resident Evil 2 in-game shop will allow players to spend hard-earned points to get enhancements of some sort. As of now, the publisher did not hint the release date of the new mode. However, the update will be free, so it's something to look forward to, the source added.
In a recent report by GameSpot, Resident Evil 2's Ghost Survivors will release across three volumes. In the first volume, you may choose mayor's daughter Katherine and a USS member named Robert Kendo as playable characters. The mode has been reported will include at least one new enemy type that doesn't appear in the main campaign.
The Resident Evil 2 remake will also include bonus 4th Survivor and Tofu modes from the original series. In the 4th Survivor, you will play as special agent HUNK, while Tofu lets you explore the zombie-infested city.
Currently, Resident Evil 2 remake has been receiving positive reviews from critics, including PC Gamer. The source described the game as a "tense, challenging, and beautiful remake of a classic survival horror game." The source added in their post skins for both Leon and Claire is currently available for Japanese PS4 owners. However, these skins are expected to roll out free for everyone on March 22. This information came from a user on Resetera. According to the online user, the news came from RE2 launch party in Japan. Sadly, there's no guarantee these skins will be available in Western regions.
