Lady Gaga reportedly asked Bradley Cooper to marry her. After their steamy performance at the Oscars for the nominated song, Shallow from A Star is Born, Lady Gaga was said to be emboldened to propose to Cooper.

Reports from In Touch revealed that so many emotions overcame Gaga after their duet that she just had to pop the question. Copper was apparently stunned, especially since he's still very much in a relationship with model Irina Shayk, the mother of his daughter.

A lot of viewers are apparently convinced that the romance between Lady Gaga and Cooper isn't just for show because of their amazing chemistry. A source also told the tabloid that the truth would prove the suspicion of Lady Gaga's ex-fiancé, Christian Carino. Evidently, he has long suspected that something was going on between the singer with the actor.

But Gossip Cop debunked the story from In Touch. Lady Gaga's agent reportedly confirmed that the proposal story is false.

Lady Gaga also went on record to deny the rumors of her romance with Cooper during a recent guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show, as per Variety. The Oscar-winning singer said that the chemistry people see between her and his co-star is the result of their hard work together.

"From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time," the singer told Kimmel. She said that they had to be very believable because their movie was, after all, a love story. "I'm an artist. I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!"

There is also no tension between Lady Gaga and Shayk, Cooper's real-life girlfriend. During that controversial Oscar performance, it was Shayk who was one of the first to get up from the audience and give a standing ovation.

When Lady Gaga won the award, she and Shayk hugged tightly before she got up to give her speech, according to Elle. Cooper, who was standing next to Lady Gaga, also gave Shayk a kiss after that sweet exchange between friends.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to A Star is Born has shot up to the number one spot after that Oscar performance, according to Billboard. The song Shallow definitely got a big boost after Lady Gaga took home the top prize for Best Original Song and rose to 162 percent in sales. It edged out Ariana Grande's Thank U Next from the charts.
