Photos posted on Comicbook from The Flash season 5 episode 15 show that this battle is going to be a huge challenge for Team Flash. Taking on the Gorilla Grodd (featuring the voice of David Sobolov) to prevent more attacks on Central City is going to be a tall order that Barry (played by Grant Gustin) makes an unexpected call for help to a former enemy, King Shark (featuring the voice of David Hayter).
The Flash season 5 episode 15 battle has been in the pipeline since 2015. Showrunner Todd Helbing teased fans about it at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2018. The show's producers enlisted the expertise of VFX supervisor Armen Kevorkian to bring the battle to life.
Kevorkian told Comicbook that he was nervous about pulling this episode off. However, he believes that much of the result was also thanks to the "amazing team of talented artists" on The Flash.
Meanwhile, The Flash season 5 episode 15 will also feature guest star Zibby Allen as Dr. Tanya Lamden. She's the person the team approaches to help them get through the man controlling King Shark, Shay Lamden (played by Don Payne), according to the episode synopsis.
In other news, rumors have been hounding fans over the potential departures of The Flash actors Carlos Valdes (Cisco) and Tom Cavanagh (Sherloque Wells). Reports say that the two stars will be done with the show after the crossover event episode, Crisis on Infinite Earths, with Supergirl and Arrow.
According to We Got This Covered, Valdes was considering leaving The Flash because he wants to pursue other paths to his career. The same news outlet also reported that Cavanagh has done so many versions of his character in the series that he believes it is time Wells' story has to end.
But when asked point blank about his exit during a recent Vancouver Fan Expo panel, Valdes was careful not to directly answer the question. Rather, he joked about being unable to talk because he has been snacking on doughnuts before going up on stage.
Both stars have been part of The Flash since the series premiere five years ago. Will The CW be willing to let them go? Meanwhile, fans of the show can still look forward to these characters joining in on the action on Tuesday's epic episode.
