The 100 season 6 is going to tell a different story. The pivot in the storyline has been hinted at the end of last season, where the heroes have woken up to a new world after 125 years in the cryogenic state.
A new leader will rise in this new planet onThe 100 season 6 in the person of Russell (played by J.R. Bourne). Described as a charismatic visionary who has been peacefully living with his group, Russell will be forced to make moral choices once he encounters Clarke (played by Eliza Taylor) and her group, as per Entertainment Weekly.
Clarke and her crew, on the other hand, will experience a few things for the first item all over again. Having lived like prisoners in the previous seasons of The 100, this whole new world will be like rediscovering their childhood.
The 100 season 6 will also feature a grown-up Jordan Green (played by Shannon Kook), the son of the deceased Monty (played by Christopher Larkin) and Harper (played by Chelsey Reist). Left to the care of Clarke, Jordan will find the new world fascinating especially since he has been born and raised in a transport ship and never ventured anywhere else.
"The sky is the limit in terms of what we find there," The 100 showrunner Jason Rothenberg told TV Guide."Part of the fun of Season 6 and beyond is exploring that," adding "It's a totally new world, literally and figuratively."
Meanwhile, The CW announced that The 100 season 6 is due to start its weekly run on the broadcast network beginning Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Viewers who follow the show on the streaming platform Netflix, however, might have to wait a while longer for the new season's release depending on their region.
According to What's on Netflix, subscribers from Canada will get new episodes of The 100 a day after it airs on television. In the United States, however, Netflix viewers won't likely get the new episodes until the whole season is over on The CW. This means that The 100 seasons 6 to U.S. Netflix subscribers may arrive at some point in August.
However, What's on Netflix cautioned that this release date will still depend on the contract between The CW and the streaming platform. There have been talks that Netflix might soon lose programs from this network. The CW is the sister network of CBS, which is beefing up the line-up for its streaming platform, CBS All Access.
