Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand is yet to officially reveal the highly-anticipated Redmi K20, which is already touted as a "flagship killer" due to its flagship-level specs at a pocket-friendly price. Adding fuel to the hype is a leak that reportedly reveals the K20's features and specifications.

Reports say that the Redmi K20 is equipped with a 6.39-inch OLED display with FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, so performance-wise, it's already a winner. Backing all that power is its impressive benchmark score - also recently leaked - which showed the K20 at 458,754.

Lu Weibing, General Master of the brand posted a screenshot of the Redmi K20's AnTuTu score with the phone living up to its "Demon King" moniker. The upcoming smartphone surpassed the benchmark's high score held by the Xiaomi Mi 9 at 371,423. It has not been confirmed yet, but the K20 could come with new UFS 3.0 storage and an innovative cooling technology.

A fun feature of the upcoming Redmi K20 is its pop-up selfie camera, equipped with a 20-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture. A triple-camera is expected at the back, which should consist of an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 13-megapixel superwide lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 48-megapixel main sensor.

Living up to its flagship expectations, the Redmi K20 is said to come with a 4,000mAh battery equipped with support for 27w fast charging. Two versions of the upcoming smartphone are reportedly in the pipeline: the standard Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. There will be different variants as well, including 64GB+6GB RAM, 128GB+6GB RAM, 128GB+8GB RAM, and 256GB+8GB RAM.

There's still a lot to know about the Redmi K20, after all these haven't been confirmed by the company itself. We're also yet to find out if the phone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner or a read-mounted one. The K20 is effectively going to succeed the Pocophone F1, but is it going to be priced anything like it? Perhaps to keep the cost low, it will use a traditional sensor.

The Redmi K20 should be announced sooner than expected. The brand is quite popular in India, so it's speculated that the phone could be the most affordable Snapdragon to launch in the country. Previously, a carrying case for the K20 was leaked that featured a tiny dragon character. The K20 is expected to come in Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Black.
