The product unveiling that AMD did during its keynote event appears to be only the icing on the cake as the American multinational semiconductor company has a lot of amazing things in store for everybody. The company actually allowed several guests to have a sneak peek at their AMD Ryzen 9 CPU 16 Zen 2 Core, which was overclocked under a beefy liquid cooling but was not able to be shown at the final presentation.

As reported by Tech Yes City's Brian, the device utilized all the available dies on the Ryzen 3000 CPUs. But, while the AMD Ryzen 9 CPU 16 Zen 2 Core also does the same, it was simply partial since only 12 out of its 16 cores were enabled. The company did not reveal the chip yet but, it gladly shared the chip's overclocking performance.

The AMD Ryzen 9 CPU 16 Zen 2 Core ran between 4.1 GHz and 4.25 GHz utilizing between 1.4 and 1.57V voltage. The chip got 4346 points, which are essentially higher compared to the score of the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. The score is much higher compared to Intel Core 19-9980XE's. Impressively, with this interesting score, the powerful chip will be priced below $799 and will be AMD's product against the Core i9-9980XE of Intel.

With the chip's name still undisclosed, it would be interesting to know how AMD will brand this powerful chip. It is highly anticipated that this chip will replace the 2950X component of the Threadripper series for HEDT CPUs. Several fans have been wondering recently what had happened to AMD's plan of improving its Threadripper series.

Fortunately, the Santa Clara-based semiconductor company has not abandoned its AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper. In fact, according to the company, the product will be back in full strong force with 64 cores. According to AMD CEO Liza Su, AMD did not in any way say that the AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper is not going to push through even though the circulating story on the Internet says otherwise. During one of her interviews at the AMD keynote event, the CEO said that consumers will definitely see more of the AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper. She also noted that the AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper is going to move up.

The AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper will always have a place in the market especially among the enthusiasts. HEDT chips are a testament of owning the king core count and performance in the wider performance arena as well as in the enthusiasts' landscape. AMD HEDT Ryzen Threadripper will continue to be in the market as long as there are enthusiasts and high-end users.
