Some gamers prefer the power of a personal computer to play over than that of a console. If you are one of those PC gamers, then it's time to rejoice as Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass will soon be available on PC.
Microsoft announced on Thursday that it will take its video game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, to personal computers. The company is working on a special edition specifically for the needs of gamers and developers on PC. Though there are no details yet on price or release date. However, it is expected that more details will be revealed during the 2019 E3 video game fair this June.
After announcing that Xbox Game Pass would end up coming completely to PC, gamers want to know more details about the availability of popular games on the computer. The good news is that, the Xbox Game Pass will come with more than 100 games, including popular title ones and Microsoft is now working with more than 75 companies to make sure this will be a reality.
Although it was not detailed whether all Xbox Game Pass video games will be available from day one on PC, it is confirmed that the number will exceed one hundred. And yes, all the new games from Xbox Game Studios, like Gears of War 5 or Halo Infinite will also be available.
In addition to these games, members of Xbox Game Pass on PC will have a discount of up to 20% when buying games in Microsoft Store for Windows as well as up to 10% in DLC and add-ons.
Xbox is also busy preparing to focus a large part of its business on its online services for players. Recently, the company announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a combination of Game Pass with Xbox Live, which allows gamers to play with multiple players online and will cost US $15 per month. In addition, they also launched a new console, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition priced at US $ 249, which does not use physical disks.
These news come a few days before E3 2019 where we expect Microsoft to also tell us more about its video game streaming service Project xCloud and probably more surprises coming.
