Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have expectedly released a photo of their son Archie Harrison for Father's Day. As a new dad, the Duke of Sussex has been enjoying fatherhood for a little over six weeks with the birth of his son last May 6.
The photo, published on the couple's Instagram, features little Archie's face partially as he gazes into the camera. Prince Harry's hand, however, covers the lower part of the baby's face as Archie holds his dad's big fingers close to him.
This will be the second time the royal couple has released Archie's photo. On Mother's Day, the Instagram account also posted a Mother's Day greeting for the Duchess with a photo of Archie's feet.
Baby Archie has yet to make his first public outing since he was presented at Windsor Castle two days after his birthday. It is believed that the infant will be christened this July at St. George's Chapel, where his father was also baptized in 1984, but it's likely that the public won't see Archie until he's at least a year older.
In an interview with CNN, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that Archie's christening would be quite significant. The child is the first multi-racial royal baby and represents a "changing royal family which reflects society as a whole in modern Britain as in the Commonwealth more closely."
But speaking of a public outing, Duchess Meghan will unlikely not be seen at the upcoming Royal Ascot event. Despite showing up at the Trooping the Colour celebration for the Queen, Meghan is not expected to be at the next royal outing.
Royal expert Erin Hill said that the Royal Ascot affair isn't a family event compared to Trooping the Colour. Since the duchess is still officially on maternity leave, she won't be expected to this upcoming horse race.
"Royal Ascot is the social event of the British season. Everyone comes out for this. It is a five-day event, the most important horse race in Britain," Hill said, per Daily Express. "But, of course, it is all eyes on the royals, celebrities show up, aristocrats, socialites."
Meghan was at last year's Royal Ascot and even awarded one of the winners. She wore an all-white dress and fornicator, and her outfit was described as her My Fair Lady look. The Duchess of Sussex is expected to be back to her official royal duties by this fall season.
