Despite being caught in the middle of a messy year and amidst the uncertainty of the company's future following the recent conflict with the US government, the first images of what could be the Huawei Mate 30 Pro surfaced online earlier today. In the past, the flagship device from the Chinese tech titan has been heavily rumored, but today, we saw its alleged renders that reveal many details. One of these is the camera setup, which is very unique and one we have never seen so far.
Specs Based On Renders
The alleged leaked renders of Huawei Mate 30 Pro came from the Chinese site IT Home and was reported by GSM Arena. As to the credibility of the leaker, there is very limited info known. But, it seems that the leaked image of the highly anticipated flagship device expected to arrive in the later part of this year is genuine.
Like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the leaked renders of Huawei Mate 30 Pro show a rectangular panel that contains the camera lenses. But, this time, the Chinese tech titan integrated four camera lenses instead of the previous rumors that it will have three cameras. The bezels are extremely thinner with a visible hole-punch notch and a dual lens front camera.
According to reports, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro could have a 90Hz refresh rate. Its camera will be so powerful that it will be capable of 5X optical zoom, which fuels earlier speculations of periscope camera integration. The renders also show that the flagship device will be available in various colors. This includes Gold White, Black, Chrome White, Classic Red, and Classic Blue.
Earlier Specs of Huawei Mate 30 Pro
Last May, the specs of Huawei Mate 30 Pro were leaked online claiming that the device will have a 6.71-inch AMOLED display. The flagship device is rumored to house a Kirin 985 SoC along with Balong 5000 5G modem. Other alleged specs include a 4200 mAh fast-charging battery backed by 55W fast wired charging.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is expected to be released in October 2019. The release date is based on the release of its predecessor, which was released in October 2018. Will the Huawei Mate 30 Pro house the HongMeng or the Ark OS? There are rumors that it could be one of the reasons for the potential delay of the flagship device's release.
For now, these specs, along with the latest renders, are not official. And like all the leaks, it is always to take these details with a pinch of salt.
