It has been almost seven years since Blizzard released "Diablo 3" so apparently we are expecting that it is only a matter of time before we begin exploring another evil loot through the Sanctuary of the foreseeable "Diablo 4." While Blizzard has not yet officially confirmed that the fourth iteration of the iconic "Diablo" game is in development, it just fair to suggest that something is definitely on the way especially when some parts of the game were already shown to some Blizzard employees.
Latest Leak
Le Monde, a respected French newspaper recently reported that "Diablo 4" has already been shown to some rank and file employees of Blizzard. The newspaper is covering the story about the most recent layoffs happening at Blizzard Versailles. Along the way, it mentioned that some of the Blizzard employees have been privy to "Diablo 4" presentation.
Based on the report, it appears that the next big title "Diablo 4" is in an almost ready to release state considering that it was already shown to some of Blizzard employees. There were several claims that Blizzard could be preparing for the grand reveal of the upcoming title on Gamescom 2019. But...
Blizzard At Gamescom 2019
A recent news post from Blizzard Entertainment officially confirmed that the gaming studio would not be attending the Gamescom this year. According to the post, the game developer would like to concentrate on the development of their current titles and future projects. Thus, they will not have a booth at the upcoming gaming event.
The post also said that while Gamescom 2019 is going to be a significant event for the global gaming community, Blizzard Entertainment is going to miss the event at Cologne this year. As to the projects that the game developer is currently working on, they are hoping that they could share more details about it when the time is ripe. Although the post does not reveal anything about the projects, it somehow clarified that if Blizzard is going to announce "Diablo 4" this year, it will most likely happen until the BlizzCon in November.
So far, Blizzard has not yet shown any sign of confirmation or denial about the said presentation reported by the French newspaper. But, it could mean that "Diablo 4" is coming along if it has been presented to employees in some way. Previous rumors suggested that the highly anticipated game is going back to basics that will openly welcome darkness and will offer a gorier and more realistic look that "Diablo III."
