The OnePlus brand duly earned the flagship killer label because of smartphone releases that boast premium specifications yet with accessible pricing. But through the years, the Chinese device maker gradually tweaked its business model, which saw the price tag increasingly climbing. So it seemed, OnePlus has strayed from its original path.

However, when compared to the flagship models coming from Apple and Samsung, the releases from OnePlus are still more affordable. And when the premium package is considered, like the build, design, and specs, the current OnePlus pricing seems reasonable. This holds true for the OnePlus 7 Pro, which certainly is a certified flagship killer for the following reasons.

The OnePlus 7 Pro starts at $699 but the figures were justified by desktop-class mobile computing capabilities, thanks to the flagship breed Snapdragon 855 SoC that relies on up to 12GB of RAM support. For the storage, it's a toss between 128GB and 256GB that somehow makes the 7 Pro a pocketable laptop. There is no denying that in terms of performance, the handset is a definite A-lister, according to Android Headlines.

On the display side, it's a glorious 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED panel that packs 1440 x 3120 pixels. The OnePlus 7 Pro is all-screen, meaning no punch-hole or notch breaks the display panel for an immersive viewing experience.

The device has 90Hz refresh rate that for a mobile handset translates to buttery smooth user experience. It is an understatement to say that screen animation on the 7 Pro is stupid fast. Users are advised though to dial down to 60Hz as doing so will extend the handset's battery juice, per the recommendation by Phandroid.

It's not to say, however, that the OnePlus 7 Pro has a weak battery pack. In fact, it has a massive 4,000mAh power juicer that for the average mobile user will last more than a day. In addition, the device features what OnePlus calls 30W Warp Charge, which is the company's own take on fast charging

So in terms of usability, the OnePlus 7 Pro is near-perfect as it provides lone operating hours and the shortest possible time of charging up.

As for the shooting prowess of the 7 Pro, the headline feature is that of a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP wide-angle sensor and third one that takes charge of 3X zooming with superior quality. For low-light situations, the device has a Night Mode that ensures top quality image captures.

For the front camera, OnePlus opted for a pop-up selfie shooter, which explains how the full-screen design was accomplished.

Governing the whole OnePlus 7 Pro behavior is the latest OxygenOS build, which is the device maker's take on Android Pie. Compared to other Android layerings out there, OxygenOS has consistently gained critical acclaims for being lightweight and its excellent performance.
