Most NBA teams are almost complete with their roster for the upcoming NBA season. But, Carmelo Anthony is still on the free agency market. There were rumors that the 10-time NBA All-Star will be with the LA Lakers because of LeBron James or with the Golden State Warriors. However, recently the NBA star has no clear cut connection to any team, but several options make sense as possible fits for Anthony should he decide to push with his career for one more year, at least.

Carmelo Anthony is now 35 years old and his performance during the NBA Season 2018-2019 was a 10-game stint with the Rockets. Over this time, he has the career-worst record of 13.4 points 5.4 rebounds and a field goal percentage of 40.5 percent. This is the player's second consecutive NBA season where he had a hard time with his shot second to his 40.4 percent a year earlier record with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

At this point, there is no guarantee yet if Carmelo Anthony is going to play for the NBA 2019-2020 season, but it is difficult to argue if there are no teams where he could play for at some point. The two teams that stand out for the 10-time NBA All-Star player are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. He could be fit into what the GSW needs while he could be in the Lakers because of his relationship with LeBron James.

Since the middle of the 2018-2019 NBA season, Carmelo Anthony has been linked with the LA Lakers particularly when the roster suffered from injuries. Although both sides did not come up with the deal probably because the team never made it to the playoffs, the possibility of Anthony joining the team is still very interesting. While his friendship with James is certainly noteworthy, the lineup is almost filled with interesting and solid talents.

Carmelo Anthony playing for the LA Lakers could be exciting and amazing, but his playing time could become an issue. The NBA star could be an interesting force in the mix during the upcoming season. Also, the possibility of pairing James and Anthony will not likely die down easily unless Anthony announces that he is done with his career in the league.

Golden State Warriors also make sense for the 10-time NBA All-Star player. The team has a very similar core that they execute every year when it comes to the second unit and starting lineup. While the 2019 NBA offseason has allowed some changes and several additions for the team's lineup, it has opened some potential minutes off the bench. The GSW could use Carmelo Anthony as their off the bench option.
