Jeremy Lin recently gave a hint on his plans for the future when he visited Taiwan. Coming fresh from an NBA championship win, Lin shared that he is considering moving away from the league to play alongside his brother in Asia. Lin talked about several benefits if he moves to Asia.
Lin told Taiwan News that five years ago, he started considering playing basketball in Asia. He related that each year when he visits Asia many fans would request him to play for several seasons in the region. If ever Jeremy Lin decides to move to Asia, he will leave on a high note a groundbreaking and highly interesting career.
The nine-year NBA veteran is the second most popular Asia NBA player of all time following Yao Ming. Jeremy Lin broke through stereotypes and surprised the world when he burst into the NBA world with a sweltering stretch of 12 starts with the Knicks and averaged 8.7 assists and 22.5 points. After the phenomenal entrance called Linsanity by different press people, Jeremy Lin mellowed down but still serves as a great guard.
After new York Knicks, he played for six more NBA teams and the last of which is with the Raptors where along with Kawhi Leonard and the rest of the team brought to Toronto its first-ever NBA championship. Jeremy Lin played a minor role during the NBA Finals. During the interview, the NBA player explained that he is not yet considering on moving Asia very very soon even though he has not yet signed up with any team during the first wave of the NBA free agency.
Jeremy Lin said the move in Asia will happen in the future if his brother is still playing basketball in the region. He said he would consider it because it would be a dream come true playing alongside his younger brother. Joseph Lin, Jeremy's brother is currently playing with the Fubon Braves in the Super Basketball League in Taiwan. Both of them won their championships in their respective leagues; Jeremy with the NBA and Joseph with the SBL.
