Samsung is scheduled to hold its Unpacked Event on August 7 where it will officially launch some of its upcoming products. But, ahead of the official reveal and announcement, a new leak surfaced online showcasing several details about the next generation wearable from the South Korean tech and electronics titan. The new leak reveals the special features, design, colors and the different actual look of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2.

New Color Variant

Android Headlines first reported the new images of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 showing the next generation wearable in various colors. For the first time, the leak showcased a blue color variant of the upcoming wearable but failed to reveal the official name of the color variant. The device also comes with a matching band, and the latest leak shows the band made of silicone and not rubber as shown in the previous renders.

In addition to the color variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, the latest leak also shows a better take at the overall hardware of the upcoming wearable from Samsung. The device looks like it got an updated heart rate sensor and speaker grill along with an oblong-shaped power button. There is also a red accent on the power button, which, according to rumors, is the LTE variant.

Special Edition

Others previously claim that it has something to do with the ECG feature of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2. Another site reported that the upcoming next-generation wearable from Samsung will have a special Under Armour Edition. Reportedly, this special edition will have either grey or black straps. The report, however, failed to disclose what difference this special edition has with the standard wearable.

Rumored Specs

Although there are no official specs yet for Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, the upcoming wearable never runs short of leaks and speculations. Rumors have it that it will have a touch bezel that will enable users to navigate the user interface without the need to cover the entire screen. It is also speculated to be equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, fall detection, and an ECG app.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also rumored to have a 4 GB of internal storage and 768 MB of RAM. It is believed to run on Exynos 9110 chipset and will sport a 360 x 360 Super AMOLED display. Additionally, it will be available in two size variants, the 40 mm watch with a 1.2-inch screen and the 44 mm watch with 1.4-inch panel display.
