Tottenham Hotspur have already struck a deal with Juventus, but they are still facing the significant challenge of agreeing to personal terms with Paulo Dybala. The Argentinian is reportedly unwilling to lower the salary demands that saw a proposed move to Manchester United fall through.

If the deal with Dybala pushes through, it should allow Christian Eriksen to leave without issues. The Danish player is heavily linked with a swap deal to Man Utd, but both deals will have to be finalized the soonest as the Premier League transfer deadline will close on Thursday at 5 pm.

According to various reports, Spurs have agreed to either a £64.4m or £69m transfer fee for Dybala. But that's not the end of it - there's still much more to be discussed.

Sky Sports claims that Spurs are yet to agree personal terms with Dybala. One of the things they have to discuss concerns image rights, which is described as an "obstacle."

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Dybala is demanding a higher wage, possibly much more than Harry Kane's, who is currently the top earner for Spurs. According to the report, Kane's contract pays £250,000-per-week, but Dybala is asking for a weekly ay of "at least" £300,000 to close the deal.

Dybala has the full support of manager Mauricio Pochettino, who according to reports, played a significant role in closing the deal with Juventus. It was apparently the high wages that caused Manchester United to withdraw from the deal.

The transfer deadline is closing in, but Spurs are also linked with Philippe Coutinho, and much talked about Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes. Coutinho is reportedly the current favorite of Tottenham on loan after receiving the go signal that he can leave Camp Nou this summer.

Elsewhere, ESPN reports that Spurs are interested in the Brazilian and they have the better chance of landing the star than Arsenal or Manchester United. But according to a source, there is a chance for Coutinho to return to England this summer, but the chances are "low."

In other Spurs transfer news, Bruno Fernandes has been reported to be interested in joining the club, although their plan to offer a deal worth £50m plus £10m in add-ons is thought to be short of Sporting's valuation of at least £70m.

Tottenham starts their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa on Saturday. The Premier League transfer window closes at 5 pm on Thursday whereas Serie A clubs have until September 2 to conclude this summer's business.
