Negotiations are underway in Paris as Real Madrid's representations are reportedly in France to arrange a potential agreement with Paris Saint-Germain about Neymar. The Spanish club is bent on signing the Brazilian, though they haven't said much about it.

For a number of weeks, Los Blancos rivals Barcelona FC have been trying to find an offer that would satisfy PSG, but they haven't come up with anything that PSG find attractive. Meanwhile, Madrid, though late, waited for the last few days to make the right move.

Reports claim that Madrid is positive that they will satisfy PSG due to their poor relationship with the Catalans and Neymar's desire to leave. However, Barcelona seems to dwell over the fact that the Brazilian want to make a return, but he hasn't actually said this out loud for people to hear. What's clear is that he's itching to leave Parc des Princes.

The transfer window will close in 10 days, but there's no clear destination for Neymar yet. Real Madrid has already picked up the pace, leaving Barca's position quite vague.

PSG are reportedly considering players, despite rejecting a 100-million euro offer plus James Rodriguez, Keylor Navas, and Gareth Bale. This, along with reports of Real Madrid officials in Paris, gives a pretty strong impression of Los Blancos' intentions.

It's safe to stay that Barca has already exhausted their options to sign Neymar. Several of packages have been offered to PSG including varying amounts of cash and some players. There's even a loan with an option to buy offer, but PSG would not budge.

PSG signing Neymar from Barça was supposed to signify their coming of age as one of Europe's true mega-clubs. Selling him back would be to admit that the Barças and Reals of the world remain PSG's betters.

As for Real Madrid, they reportedly have a better financial position Barca. Los Blancos have earned back most of the transfer fee by selling some of their players. Despite their efforts, however, they would still have to recoup considering it would take close to €250 million to sign Neymar.

President of Real Madrid Florentino Perez has always wanted Neymar to join the club, but a few reasons have prevented him from doing so. Perhaps the biggest reason is the fact that the club has already spent a whole lot of money to sign players, including Eden Hazard.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid seem ready, and they seem like serious contenders now.
