A new report suggests that Alexis Sanchez is about to join Inter Milan on loan deal from Manchester United. Reports in Italy claim that a deal has been agreed for the Chilean star.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano took to Instagram to announce that Sanchez will move to Inter on loan for the 2019-2020 season. Inter is reportedly paying €5 million (£4.5 million) of the player's huge €12 million (£10.8 million) annual salary, and that Sanchez will head to Milan on Wednesday for the contract signing.

According to Sky Sports, meanwhile, the Italian club will spend around £11 million in total to formally make Sanchez an Inter Milan player. The former Arsenal and Barcelona footballer is the second Man Utd player to move from Old Trafford to the San Siro. Previously, Inter took in Romelu Lukaku for a £74 million deal.

If the deal is signed, it will finally put an end to Sanchez's bad spell in United. The player appears to be not his best since he joined United from Arsenal last year.

Sanches was once one of the best Premier League players, but he only managed to score three goals for Old Trafford. Regardless of whether he played under former boss Jose Mourinho or current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he has been a shadow of the footballer he was in Catalonia and north London.

But United will benefit from Sanchez leaving, especially it will take off some of the player's wages of their bill. However, him leaving and joining Lukaku at Inter Milan means Man Utd will be left with very few attacking options.

According to reports, Sanchez is looking forward for a move so he can be the player he was before he joined the Red Devils, and it is believed that Inter manager Antonio Conte has always wanted to sign Sanchez even in the past.

Sanchez getting to work with Conte will no doubt help improve his skills. After all, the Italian is considered one of the best there is, and the brand of football he is into is deemed ideal for the likes of the Chilean.

Lukaku is also enthusiastic for his new club, netting a 4-0 win over Lecce on Monday. Things have not been going well for Lukaku as well, and surely, reuniting him with Sanchez will unleash both players' potential.
