Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Neymar staying at Paris Saint-Germain is a good thing and that he's glad the Brazilian did so. If not, other players of the club would have left as well.
The 27-year-old has been linked with his former club Barcelona throughout the summer, but with the transfer window closing on Monday, the player is likely to stay at Parc des Princes.
In recent interview, Wenger put his two cents on the matter.
"I think that he is one of the best players in the world and I am happy that he is staying at PSG," Wenger said. "Because when you lose one of your two or three best players in the world, the law in our world is that the following year you lose the other."
Bryan Swanson of Sky Sports on Saturday confirmed that Neymar would be staying at PSG:

With Neymar remaining at PSG, his next challenge would be to gain the support and trust of the club's fans, following the backlash he received.

If Neymar had moved successfully, it's possible some players would have taken issue with club letting go of one of the best footballers in the world. However, PSG has had a record of keeping their top stars in recent years.
In the year Neymar arrived at PSG, the club had successfully kept Marco Verratti from moving to Barcelona.
It's worth noting that transfer fees and wages have gone sky-high these days that the market for great players has been reduced due to the fact that only affluent and elite clubs can afford them.
Kylian Mbappe, PSG's other biggest star, would be difficult for other clubs to afford as well. Had Neymar exited the club, his value would only have increased, because keeping him would have been more important to their ambitions.
Barcelona might as well go after Neymar again next summer. We'll then find out if other PSG stars follow suit if he leaves for good.
