It seems as though we're seeing the end of the Neymar transfer saga. The Brazilian's summer-long bid to exit Paris Saint-Germain appears all turned out to be a huge disappointment with the player admitted defeat in his attempt to move back to Barcelona.

That being said, PSG are believed to be working on strategies to ensure that Neymar won't be treated negatively by hardcore fans of the French club - something that he has experienced recently during PSG's opening game.

Given the vague situation Neymar was in this summer, Thomas Tuchel left him out of his four squads of the Ligue 1 season. It is understood he will make a comeback, which should put an end to expectations of any last-minute surprises on the last day of the transfer season.

PSG have been left concern about the possible reaction of their hardcore fans, which is why reps of the club set a meeting with the ultras to make sure that the incidents at their opening game of the campaign against Nimes in Paris won't happen again.

The game had fans chant "Neymar, son of a bitch" and put up banners taunting Neymar, including "Se faire taper par une pute n'arrive pas qu'en remontada tu t'en souviens?" ("Being hit by a prostitute doesn't only happen during a comeback, do you remember?) and "Neymar Casse toi" ("Neymar get lost").

Due to the incidents, Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) fined PSG with €2,000. The French club are keen to prevent any similar incidents, along with the Disciplinary Committee. The efforts should put an end to any abuse thrown at Neymar.

French publication Le Parisien reportedly talked to two members of PSG's ultras. According to the report, though the ultras did not promise there wouldn't be any chants, they did say they would "concentrate on supporting the team and showing their indifference to Neymar."

Tuchel has previously hinted at his desire for Neymar to remain with the club, after telling French TV show Canal Football Club he has no updates on the 27-year-old's future.

"If we lose Neymar, maybe I will not sleep," he said. "Because it would be hard to lose him and find another player who can do the same things for us. Maybe no news is good news."
