'GTA 6' Release Window, Lead Character, & Other Features We Know So Far

One of the most heavily speculated upcoming games today is "GTA 6." This is despite the fact that Rockstar Games has not even officially the existence of the game. With the wealth of speculations and rumors surrounding the sixth iteration to the "Grand Theft Auto" series, we share with you what we have compiled so far about the game.

Possible Release Window

Rockstar Games has a habit of releasing new titles in four or five years from the date of publication of GTA's three-dimensional parts. The game developer has exceeded this period for "GTA 6" but it filled the gap when it released "Red Dead Redemption 2," which bagged almost every prize a video game can get. Given the ongoing popularity of "Red Dead Online" and "GTA Online" and the constant stream of updates and contents, most gamers predict that "GTA 6" might be released two or three years from now.

The general assumption is that "GTA 6" will be released on the next-generation video gaming consoles, which are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett. So, a potential release window would be in 2022.

Platforms

As mentioned earlier, "GTA 6" will most likely be released on next generation gaming consoles. With the recent launching of Rockstar Games PC Launcher, the much-awaited game might be released in PC launcher, Xbox Scarlett, PlayStation 5, and Google Stadia. It might also be released on Steam somewhere along the road.

Lead Character

Earlier rumors claim that "GTA 6" will introduce a female main protagonist as a deviation from its usual male lead character. There is also a rumor claiming that the main character of the upcoming game will be imprisoned and will start as a drug dealer and rise his way to the highest rank in the drug cartel.

Location

Several rumors suggest that "GTA 6" will be set in Miami or in another version of Vice City and another location for missions in South America. There were also speculations that the upcoming game will take place in two periods. The first one will be the time when the lead character was just starting in the drug industry as a street dealer.

The other location is in prison where he continues his operation. Most recently, a coded message hinted that "GTA 6" will be set in three different locations namely Vice City, Los Santos, and Liberty City.

These details are founded on rumors and speculations and might not be accurate to the official details "GTA 6" has on its release. Therefore, we advise that you take this information with barrels of salt and with skepticism.
