The Pokemon Company a few days ago teased about the new mysterious Pokemon coming to "Pokemon Sword and Shield." Earlier today, the company revealed the identity of this mysterious character that will surely excite players. Introduced through a brief trailer, the team introduced a new regional evolution of Farfetch'd which is Sirfetch'd.
The new regional evolution of Farfetch'd debuts in "Pokemon Sword and Shield" and other Pokemon games as Sirfetch'd or as a new Galar region evolution. The leek wielding knight will be exclusive to "Pokemon Sword" who has evolved to his better form after many battles. As the name suggests, Sirfetch'd is a knight or is inspired by a knight.
As Farfetch'd the leek it has been wielding has transformed into a shield and lance which is used to attack during battles. The new Pokemon that will soon appear in "Pokemon Sword and Shield" appears to have a stern demeanor, just like that of a knight. As you can see in the trailer, the knightly Pokemon looks humorously not amused when its trainer wants to play with it and surprisingly smacks its trainer using its lance.
The new regional evolution coming to "Pokemon Sword and Shield" in its standard form is a part of the original 151 monsters in Pokemon and is one of the fan-favorite pocket monsters. In "Pokemon Go," Farfetch'd is the regional critter for the home country of Pokemon. It is worth noting that the evolution of Farfetch'd has long been speculated but Sirfetch'd is the only evolution version that will be exclusive to "Pokémon Sword and Shield."
In its latest press release, the Pokemon Company share more details about Sirfetch'd. The new regional evolution of Farfetch'd is a pure fighting type pokemon with Steadfast Ability that rises its speed after recoiling. It also has a new exclusive move dubbed as Meteor Assault that "Pokemon Sword and Shield" will surely love. This latest move releases a powerful attack using its lance, however, it paralyzes him and makes him unable to move after a turn.
Sirfetch'd is not the only "Pokemon Sword and Shield" exclusive pokemon that are set to arrive in the game. Other Pokemon revealed coming to "Pokemon Sword and Shield" includes Larvitar and Goomy for "Pokemon Shield" and Jangmo-o and Deino for "Pokemon Sword." Most likely, there will be more version exclusive pocket monsters that are yet to be unveiled in the game.
