Several iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 versions have already gone live. The new operating systems come with amazing features, and already, a number of Apple users have downloaded and installed it. However, it goes without saying that not all people are fond of updates, given that new operating systems are often buggy.
Do note that Apple will stop signing iOS 12 at any given time, which means you'll be stuck with iOS 13 once the window closes. Before this happens, however, you can downgrade iOS 13 to iOS 12 if you've made up your mind. But first, back up everything using iCloud or iTunes.
iOS 13 went live on Sept. 19, so there's not a lot of time before support for iOS 12 stops. Based on Apple's previous behavior, the company will probably stop signing the newest iOS 12 software updates sometime in October. Unless you happen to save your SHSH2 blobs, you won't be able to downgrade.
To download iOS 13 to iOS 12 on the iPhone and iPad, try doing the following steps:
First, find your iOS 12 firmware file on this link. Make sure you downloaded the correct one; otherwise, the process will fail completely.
Next, use a Lightning cable to connect your iOS 13 device to your Mac or PC, then start launching iTunes. Once your device gets detected by iTunes, it will appear in the top left-hand corner. To view more details, click on the tiny icon that looks like an iPhone.
Assuming you already have the correct iOS 13 firmware in the first step, press and hold down the left Option key if you are using macOS, or left Shift key if you are using Windows. In iTunes, click on the Restore iPhone button.
Finally, choose the iOS 12 firmware file.
You should see iTunes extracting what's inside the iOS 12 firmware file. This should restore your device with it. Note that the whole process could take up to fifteen minutes or more, and that doesn't include firmware download time.
Once the whole thing is done, you can restore all the contents of your phone from the backup you created before downgrading or set up your device as brand new.
Remember to do the downgrading process while you still can - before Apple stops the support. The downgrade process will take some time, so ensure you have at least 70 percent charge on your iPhone or iPad.
