A new report claims that some Manchester United players have been worried about a coaching situation - that a senior coach shouldn't have been given a huge role within the club.

The coach in question is Kieran McKenna, who was promoted from the academy over a year ago. He has since been assigned an important task at Carrington.

According to the report, some United stars believe that McKenna's training sessions are more suited to the academy. It has since left some members of the squad frustrated with the "uninspiring and old-fashioned coaching" currently happening on the training ground.

After United's latest defeat, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been facing the scrutiny of the public eye. Should the club's performance don't turn around, the situation could get worse for the Norwegian boss. Now, it's up to him how to deal with this uprising, assuming the report is true.

When Solskjaer arrived at Manchester, he was seen as a galvanizing force. But the English club only managed to win five games out of the 17 since taking over from Jose Mourinho, conceding 24 times during that run.

It is believed that Solskjaer isn't fully hands-on in training, much like his mentor Sir Alex Ferguson. Sessions are mostly led by McKenna, Mike Phelan, and Michael Carrick.

United have been in a string of bad luck despite only entering the opening phases of the season. Paul Pogba is injured, along with five other players. During the 1-1 draw against Southampton at St. Mary's, the midfielder twisted his ankle, but it's expected he should be back in shape by next week.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are still recovering from injuries they've both obtained before the international break.

Manchester United's current situation isn't particularly the first for the club. Under the previous regimes of Jose Mourinho, Louis Van Gaal, and David Moyes, the Premier League giant has seen crises as well. It always ended up with fans criticizing the managers for the squad's shortcomings.

United's poor form can be blamed on several factors, including the board's disinterest in shelling out funds for singings, tactics deemed inefficient for a current set up, the players' lethargic tendencies, and of course, fingers are pointed toward the gaffer.

The Premier League table currently holds United at eighth place, but their performance at West Ham triggered a lot of negative feedback, notably from former boss Mourinho, who believes the club has unfortunately regressed.
