The South Korean tech and electronics giant might have recently launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. However, it appears that Samsung is preparing its next flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S11. According to a new report, the upcoming flagship phone, according to industry insiders, will have powerful camera specs which include four cameras, 108 MP sensor, and 5x optical zoom camera

According to The Elec, the unit is definitely the one that Samsung started mass-producing way back in May and uses a periscope design. The design, as the name suggests, puts the lenses of Samsung Galaxy S11 lying sideways. It then utilizes mirrors to focus the light on the sensor.

This process makes the most of the allowed space for optical zoom utilization while at the same time restricts the device from becoming bulkier or thicker. Compared to the digital zoom, the alleged optical zoom of the Samsung Galaxy S11 provides higher quality images because it does not crop down the image to be able to get closer. But, optical zoom entails lens elements and distance, which makes its positioning in a smartphone a little bit problematic, hence, the development of periscope cameras.

If the latest report about Samsung Galaxy S11 is accurate, the upcoming smartphone will be the first-ever flagship device to feature a periscope style shooter. This feature is already present in Chinese smartphones like Huawei and Oppo. Additionally, the report mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy S11 would be equipped with a four-camera setup.

Considering the camera configuration of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, it is highly likely that the South Korean tech and electronics giant is going to use the same setup. This includes the ultra-wide shooter, the main camera, the Time of Flight sensor, and the telephoto shooter. Moreover, the report revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S11 will sport 108 MP camera sensor on its main camera.

This is a massive leap from the 12 MP sensor that Galaxy S and Note series have. In addition to the camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy S11, the same news outlet also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will have an improved fingerprint sensing technology. Allegedly, the next flagship device will have a 64 square millimeters of fingerprint-sensing area.

Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 have virtual fingerprint sensing area of around 36 square millimeters only. Raising the size of the fingerprint sensing area could be a crucial move for Samsung. Although the latest devices of the company have virtual sensors, at times they could be fussy and would not always let you in on the first attempt.

Increasing the size means providing more space to use the sensor and trigger the feature. While these details may sound interesting, it is important to note that these are unconfirmed specs and features of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S11. We advise you to take these details with a barrel of salt.
