Former Manchester United forward Robin van Persie has warned Paul Pogba to make improvements on his distribution or the club's attacking players will stop making runs in front of him. The France international has had a difficult time at Man Utd so far, failing to look as good as he has at previous club Juventus and when he plays for his country.

Van Persie's comment is the result of the recent Man Utd vs. Arsenal match that concluded in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. The Red Devils managed to score through Scott McTominay, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rescued a point in the second half for the Gunners. Throughout the entire game, Pogba did not once make an impact.

The result of the game had former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, who witnessed the match, commenting about Pogba's poor performance, calling him Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's "problem child."

However, Van Persie has another take on Pogba's predicament. He believes that the United manager must clarify what the 26-year-old's role in the team really is. The Dutchman also encouraged the midfielder that he must learn to connect well with the squad's forwards.

"I do think it's important for Pogba himself [to know his position], because he's a world-class player," Van Persie told Optus Sport via Metro. He went on to say that Solskjaer must assign the midfielder a more advanced role.

The Red Devils were clearly held by the Gunners due to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's equalizer. United's performance is being criticized as spectators believe there is something wrong when it comes to maintaining correct squad dynamics. Many believe that Solslkjaer isn't using his players' full potential and their talents aren't utilized to the best of their preference or ability.

United appear to find it difficult to position their players where they are most effective, as with the case of Pogba, who was deployed in a position where he failed to make a mark. Blamefootball also notes that both Jose Mourinho and Solslkjaer know for a fact there is a huge difference to attacking dynamics when Pogba is at no. 10.

We won't know for sure if the Norwegian gaffer will end up taking Van Persie's advice, and the same goes to Pogba. What's clear as of now is that fans of Manchester United are eager to see more of Pogba and what he's really capable of.
