Niantic announced recently that it is bringing back the Stardust Blast event in "Pokemon Go" for a limited time. Players who will participate in the event will have the chance to earn more Stardust than usual in the augmented reality game. Interestingly, several players are complaining of experiencing being banned from the popular mobile game.
New Stardust Blast & Other "Pokemon Go" Events
Starting October 3, "Pokemon Go," players will have the chance to earn more Stardust than usual because of the Stardust Blast event. Players will receive two times the usual amount of Stardust every time they capture or hatch a pokemon. Also, those who battle against the Team Rocket Grunts are entitled to get twice as much Stardust.
"Pokemon Go" players are also guaranteed to receive 2,000 Stardust for simply participating in Raid Battles. The Stardust Blast event starts from 1 PM PT or 4 PM ET starting October 3 until October 10. Considering the role of Stardust in various aspects of "Pokemon Go" like powering up and trading, this new event is a great chance to store up some more.
"Pokemon Go" players are going to enjoy the latest set of Field Research tasks available in the augmented reality game. Additionally, the game developer has outlined the Legendary raid Hour events which will allow players to catch Altered Forme Giratina and another soon to be announced Legendary Pokemon. The October Community Day is set on October 12, and for this month, the featured pokemon is Trapinch.
"Pokemon Go" Players Getting Banned
Several "Pokemon Go" players recently complained of getting banned from the game. The most affected are those using Xiaomi Redmi 5 and other phones who updated their OS to the most recent MIUI update. On Twitter, the official support account of Niantic shared that it is now looking at the issues that most Xiaomi users are experiencing when utilizing the GameTurbo feature.
We’re investigating reports of players getting flagged by our systems while using Xiaomi’s GameTurbo feature, and will share an update as soon as we are able. — Niantic Support (@NianticHelp) September 30, 2019
The Niantic Support account also promised to share an update whenever possible. The issue gained traction on Reddit when several Xiaomi users reported getting banned from the popular mobile game. The majority of the users reported that the issue started when they updated their phones to MIUI 10.3.2. Several other "Pokemon Go" players pointed out that it could be due to the Game Booster feature of Xiaomi, which is designed to help speed up the performance of the game.
