Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reacts to Hans-Joachim Watzke Borussia Dortmund's chief executive officer after the chief claimed that the footballer's primary motivation for transferring to the Emirates Stadium in 2018 was money. Talking about the 30 years old Arsenal vice-captain, Watzke noted that the Gabonese would most likely be warm-hearted when he checks his bank account but will be saddened when he watches the Champions League on the tele. In response to the comments, the Arsenal striker posted on his social media account his feelings towards the Dortmund chief and criticizing BVB for the sale of Ousmane Dembele in 2017 to Barcelona.

Dortmund Borussia decided to cash in on Dembele in 2017 when Barcelona was looking for a player to replace Neymar. According to reports, the total potential value of the deal for the team was £135.5 million with Barcelona having paid £96.8 million upfront. In 2013, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moved to Dortmund Borussia and stayed there for almost five years before he moved to Arsenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang helped the team by filling its need for attackers after Bayern Munich got Robert Lewandowski and was a good goalscorer all throughout his time at the club. He played a crucial role in the team at the end of the 2016-2017 season, where they won the DFB-Pokal. Despite his scoring feat and success, some bitter Dortmund fans were not happy with his decision to leave the club.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was fined and even suspended when he missed a club meeting before his transfer to north London. Since Aubameyang's departure, Dortmund Borussia has not won any silverware, says Oluwashina Okeleji. Regardless of Gabonese's motivation for transferring to Arsenal, during his time with Dortmund he continuously helped in building its reputation resulting in him being named as one of the best forward in the world.

During Arsenal's game with Manchester United, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a crucial point smoothly slotting past David De Gea. The Gabon captain is on track for one of his best-ever seasons should he continue scoring goals at a prolific rate. He might even help the Arsenal get back to the Champions League again in the coming season.
