Chelsea boss Frank Lampard told Christian Pulisic that he must improve in his training if he would like to win back a place in Chelsea's starting XI. The American footballer is confident that he will rise to the challenge given to him by the English coach. Following being in the starting in Chelsea's midweek Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby Town, the 21 years old attacking midfielder was once again an unused substitute during the team's game against Brighton last Saturday.

The Pensioners comfortably secured a victory 2-0 but Christian Pulisic admitted that he was frustrated. However, Frank Lampard has inspired and encouraged him that he can still go back to his place at Chelsea. In one of his interviews, Pulisic was asked if he had been given feedback by the English coach about winning his place.

According to Christian Pulisic, Lampard told him to keep on improving in the training to be able to get back in the lineup. The American winger also experienced the same treatment when he was with Borussia Dortmund when Jacob Sancho arrived in the scene and took his place in the side. Confident about his abilities, Pulisic said that he could learn from that particular experience.

He further stated that in the end, he was able to get minutes once again and played well until the end of the season. The 21 years old midfielder added that he just needs to get his head down and continue working hard. Christian Pulisic understands that it is not going to be easy, but he enjoyed Chelsea, and he expects that there will be challenges along the way.

Christian Pulisic also noted that coming to Chelsea was tough, and he has to work hard. He added that as much as possible, he would like to play as many minutes as he can. The American winger also admitted that the situation where he is right now is very challenging for him, but he knew that he must continue to learn and prove himself to the team.
