Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly called his players "embarrassing" after Manchester United's recent loss to Newcastle United, and warned his squad they were going to get him the sack if things don't turn around quick.
The Norwegian gaffer is already feeling the pressure following United's dismal start this season and now fears his role as a manager is hanging in the balance. While OGS has always been quick to defend his squad in public, news of him slamming his players is a bit of shock, having established himself as a coach with a quiet and calm demeanor.
However, Solskjaer is increasingly becoming more concerned that his job has been put in a perilous position and told his squad they were going to get him fired if their poor performance continues, reports The Sun.
With the club's defeat against the Magpies, United are now placed in the lower end of the Premier League table. Solskjaer believes he is not the only one in the danger zone, however. Should a new manager come to replace him, other players could get ousted as well for their poor form. The 46-year-old then encouraged his players to assess themselves during the international break.
Perhaps what's disappointing is that many football enthusiasts know that Solskjaer has been entrusted with to care for Manchester United for a reason. But the club's current form under their current gaffer is almost the polar opposite of what it was when he first took over less than a year ago.
While some recognize Solskjaer's skills as a football pundit, fans have rallied for him to be sacked after an unfortunate run of form that goes all the way back to April. Others, including legendary former player Gary Neville, refuse to point the finger at the Norwegian and place the blame higher at club officials whose short-termist approach in recent years has left the club in a dire position.

After the break, United will be back in the deep end to face Liverpool at Old Trafford. Club vice-chairman Ed Woodward has expressed support for Solskjaer, but there are still fears within the club that a loss against the Reds will spend the end of his reign.
