Manchester United have reportedly expressed their full support for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his long-term plans for the club, which involves the singing of eight players over the course of two years.
The Daily Telegraph reports that an unnamed source at United has revealed that the Norwegian gaffer has a three-year vision for United:
"Ole is looking at a three-year vision of a squad. It will be an evolution over the coming years. We are at base camp now."
The article notes that the Red Devils willingly spending £150 million this summer could only be interpreted as a sign of the club's preparedness to invest heavily in the next two summer transfer windows.
United definitely have more than enough resources to fund their needs for additional reinforcements, but the club's strategy into using the talents they managed is being questioned.
It is believed that the club is planning to hire a technical director to take charge of the recruitment process, but no approaches have been made so far. United are hoping that responsibilities within the club are distributed evenly, which we assume is their way of easing the burden off of Solskjaer.
However, the Red Devils have employed this approach before to no avail. Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, and David Moyes all tried and failed to keep Manchester United at a spot they were once known for before Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013.

It's clear the United have had a dismal season and the blame has been heavily thrown at OGS. However, some have pointed their fingers at the club's executives, including vice chairman Ed Woodward.
It's easy to play the blame-game, but it would be unfair to overlook Solskjaer's efforts. An example of those struggles comes from the muddled recruitment plan that saw the manager promised Lukaku and misfiring Alexis Sanchez would be sold.
Lukaku and Sanchez were eventually sent out to Inter Milan, but the coach was indignant of not finding a replacement striker to stay consistent with his three-year plan. Solskjaer apparently has planned for Mason Greenwood to break through, for Marcus Rashford to display his skills, and for Anthony Martial to have more opportunities as first-choice center-forward.
While many expect Solskjaer's termination should they again lose another match, United "will be patient and support Ole," the source says.
