Since "Mortal Kombat 11" was officially released, it has already unveiled six DLC characters. We already know that three of them, Shang Tsung, Night Wolf, and Terminator were already added to the fighting game. But, based on his most recent interview, it appears that Ed Boon wants Keanu Reeves' iconic characters to be in the game as guest DLC characters.
Out of the six revealed characters arriving in "Mortal Kombat 11," only three characters are yet to be added. In November, Sindel the Queen will be added to the game and will be followed by Joker in January and Spawn on March 2020. After the DLC characters are released, gamers will be looking forward to three guest characters that will also be added in the game and hopefully more to come in the next Kombat Pack.
While it appears that some gamers do not like the idea of guest characters in "Mortal Kombat 11" as it turned out, these characters were usually the most popular ones. For the team behind "Mortal Kombat 11" with the wealth of characters, it must be hard to choose which one makes it to the game. Aside from that, there is also a bigger issue of licensing.
In his recent interview with the Brazilian outlet Meu PS4, "Mortal Kombat 11" creative director Ed Boon shared some exciting details about upcoming guest DLC characters that want to see in the game. Boon first mentioned "Street Fighter" but that is the only thing he revealed. He left out divulging which of the characters in the popular game would he want to be in "Mortal Kombat 11."
The second "Mortal Kombat 11" guest DLC character that Ed Boon mentioned in the interview is John Wick. This makes a lot of sense considering how in vogue Keanu Reeves is. The only question is that why hasn't the team behind "Mortal Kombat 11" brought John Wick in the game considering the nature of the character.
John Wick's character has an established history in games making him easy to add character. The final guest DLC character that the creative director of "Mortal Kombat 11" mentioned is Neo from "Matrix." Neo would be an interesting addition to the game but it seems that he might not just fit too well in "Mortal Kombat 11" as John Wick will.
While Ed boon mentioned these characters, these are just his wants and this is in no way a confirmation that they will be arriving in the game. "Mortal Kombat 11" is available on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
