Swede veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic is nearing the end of his contract with the U.S. club LA Galaxy and is looking for a return to Europe. Reports said the striker wants to rejoin his former Italian club, Inter Milan and has reached out to make known his impending availability.

Currently, the captain for Galaxy, Ibrahimovic, has expressed intentions of leaving the California club and possibly return to Inter next year. The 38-year-old Swede previously played in Milan for four years, according to SempreInter.com.

In doing his overture, it was unclear, though, if the Italian club is interested in reuniting with Ibrahimovic, who is considered as among the most illustrious players of his generation. He is widely known for his robust play and acrobats, and largely prized by clubs he played for due to his prolific scoring.

Ibrahimovic making himself available to Inter came at a time that the Milan club is in dire need to search for an attacker that will take the place of injured Alexis Sanchez. Reports said Sanchez would not be seen in action for months, so the Swede's proposal might just be considered.

However, it appeared that Inter manager Antonio Conte is checking on other candidates as well and the likes of Olivier Giroud, Kevin Lasagna, and Mario Mandzukic. It is the latter that Conte is said to be favored, but the Juventus striker is also being eyed by Manchester United, which is in the process of roster rebuilding.

In any case, a return by Ibrahimovic to Europe seems definite now and per Bleacher Report, the Swede is ready to play in the Premier League or Serie A. He said that clubs that sign him would be convinced of making a good investment.

"I know I could still make the difference, both in Italy and in other countries. I'd do better than the players who are there now," Ibrahimovic was reported as saying.

His claim is supported by a solid record. So far, in the ongoing of the U.S. Major League Soccer, Ibrahimovic already kicked in his goal number 30 that he will add to his lifetime score of 300, which it seems the Swede intends to inflate further playing in Europe.

Ibrahimovic is never shy about his claim that he is the best MLS player at the moment, and his play history speaks volumes. His career saw him playing in dominant fashion for the best clubs in Europe such as Juventus, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

The striker transferred from United to Galaxy in 2018, but he hinted his ready to return if the Red Devils will make the call.
