Qualcomm is highly anticipated to announce its next-generation SoC. Tech enthusiasts are hoping to hear more about the successor of Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 855 Plus. Rumors have it that it will be called Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and a new set of claims reveal about the first flagship device that will house this upcoming SoC.

According to a new report, the announcement of the flagship device that will run on Snapdragon 865 will happen in November 2019. But, a Chinese company named 8848 has recently announced the first device to house the highly anticipated SoC from Qualcomm dubbed as the Titanium M6. The Chinese company 8848 is a luxurious watch and smartphone maker based in China, which suggests that their flagship device could be costly.

Additionally, 8848 will reportedly release a couple of variants for the Titanium M6. One comes with 5G connectivity and the other with built-in LTE. The Titanium M6 5G will presumably house the Snapdragon 865 chipset. While many smartphone makers are claiming that they will soon release their flagships running on SD 865, the bragging rights, for now, belongs to 8848.

Unfortunately, some reports claim that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 will not be ready until next year. This means that consumers itching to get their hands on the flagship running on Snapdragon 865 will not be able to do so yet. This also means that 8848's Titanium M6 will not be released this year, but next year.

The first smartphone to house the Snapdragon 865 chipset reportedly sports a 6.01-inch AMOLED screen and has 1TG internal memory and 12 GB RAM. It has a 64 MP camera that can take 100 MP images that features advanced interpolation. Rumors have it that the Chinese company does not believe that AI could match real people, and in the case of Titanium M6, it will not feature a machine-based assistant service.

Reportedly, users will interact with real people to assist them, which sounds like a very exhausting process. Meanwhile, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 is anticipated to be based on the 7nm process. As revealed in the latest benchmarking leak, the manufacturing process is not really significant in raising the overall performance of Snapdragon 865.

According to wccftech, the early results reveal that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset could not outperform Apple's A13 Bionic found in iPhone 11 series. While we could still question the veracity of the test scores, it also shows that the upcoming chipset from Qualcomm can considerably bridge the gap. This, however, leads us to think if the Apple A14 Bionic will not make significant surprises in the coming year.
