Over the past months, fans of the popular smartphone Pocophone have been aching to hear news and updates about its sequel, which the public dubbed as Pocophone F2. However, with the year almost over, it appears that we will not see any Poco F2 coming out in 2019. But, it seems that there is a brighter future for the much-awaited sequel if the recent post in the social site Twitter is to be believed.

Pocophone Global Head Alvin Tse recently tweeted a message on his personal account. The tweet hints that the highly anticipated smartphone Pocophone F2 might launch in 2020. The Xiaomi executive stated in his tweet that more about Poco would be revealed next year.

The executive's tweet was in response to a fan who asked about the Poco brand. But, that is all there is in the tweet and nothing else. Pocophone's global head did not share any details about the Pocophone F2 or Poco F1, just an assurance of something to be hopeful for next year.

Surprisingly, it appears that the Xiaomi executive already deleted the tweet that gave hope to a lot of Pocophone F2 hopefuls. If you check the tweet, it is no longer available on the social site. While we do not really know the story behind the (deleted) tweet, we are hoping that the company would soon share something about Pocophone.

In August 2018, Xiaomi's sub-brand Pocophone unveiled the Pocophone F1. The smartphone is a flagship killer and is insanely affordable considering its specs that fans have been incessantly asking about its successor, the Pocophone F2, all through the year. Despite the lack of official statements related to the highly anticipated Poco F2, we never run our of leaks and speculations about the smartphone.

A few weeks ago, an alleged casing of the Pocophone F2 was seen on the website of a popular smartphone case maker. A popular tipster also shared the benchmark score of a device with the name Pocophone F2 earlier this year. The general assumption is that the Poco f2 will sport a notch-less display along with a pop-up selfie camera.

Other rumored specs of the Pocophone F2 includes an under-display fingerprint scanner and a triple camera rear configuration. Based on the transparent casing that surfaced earlier online, the upcoming smartphone will have a flame-like gradient pattern at its back panel. The Pocophone F1 houses the flagship mobile processor of Qualcomm in 2018, which is the Snapdragon 845.

Based on this, several tech sites believe that the highly anticipated Pocophone F2 might house Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus. While all these may sound exciting and something to look forward to, it is essential to note that these specs are not official. We are looking forward to hearing more about Poco F2 in 2020, and we are hoping that the tweet of the Pocophone's global head is something related to the much-awaited sequel of Poco F1.
