Kate Middleton emerged as the biggest style influencer than Meghan Markle amid the lockdown period. The Duchess of Cambridge apparently overtook the Duchess of Sussex in a data, reportedly, compiled by LovetheSales.com.

According to Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex brought the "Meghan Effect" when she joined the royal family during her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017. People apparently copied what she wore during her time with the royals but this influence saw a dramatic decline when she became less visible in public.

It was no longer simple to spot Meghan in public following her royal exit with Prince Harry in March since her appearances have been limited. The lockdown orders also forced the Duchess of Sussex to stay at home and, like most people, change her wardrobe style.

But while Meghan opted for more relaxed lockdown outfits, Kate managed to dress presentably even when she's making Zoom calls at her Anmer Hall estate. According to the data, the Duchess of Cambridge wore 16 remarkable outfits during her video conference calls, which have been selling out compared to the six basic outfits worn by Meghan during the lockdown.

Experts said that searches for style inspirations from Meghan online have been fewer compared to Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge, on the other hand, mostly wore repeats but her outfits of choice were still more the popular searches for online shoppers.

Meanwhile, Prince William also didn't fall back in the style department amid the lockdown. The Duke of Cambridge apparently showed off his nice tan when he wore a white polo shirt during a virtual marathon challenge video for Tusk charity.

The prince, who recently turned 38, appeared relaxed as he spoke about his patronage's latest endeavor to raise funds to preserve a community in Africa. He said that he was able to do the run but not at the beautiful surroundings of Lewa, where the marathon usually takes place.

Though Prince William didn't say where he participated, it is believed that he did his run at his Anmer Hall estate.  He has been staying with Kate and their three kids -- George, Charlotte and Louis - in this Norfolk home since the beginning of the lockdown.

The Cambridges have a large space where they can play outdoors, camp out or bike together. Prince William and Kate have also been doing in-person royal engagements at both Norfolk and London separately since the middle of June.
